Project Experience
Weigh Bin Calibration Improvement
ExxonMobil
August 2022 - May 2023
Designed an inexpensive, safer, and more effiicient system that is capable of attaching the various amounts of weight required for ExxonMobil to complete their annual weigh bin calibration
Identified the components and materials necessary to ensure a determined safety factor
Collected and analyzed strain gauge data to verify the system could support up to 8,000 lbs
Reduced the turnaround time to complete the calibration from one day to under one hour
Developed and managed a $3,000 project budget including testing and materials costs
Redesign of Safety Injection Valves
Entergy
May 2022 - August 2022
Analyzed safety injection valves leakage history and identified the potential root causes for the valves failure to seal
Verified that solutions would meet design criteria and comply with the strict nuclear industry standards
Identified the top three potential solutions and authored a report outlining the options for team leadership considering reliability, safety, and cost objectives
Oversized, Mult-Deck Card Shuffler
Sophomore Design
January 2020 - May 2020
Designed a card shuffler for 8.5 x 11' cards which aid in visibility to benefit retirement homes
Reverse engineered a generic card shuffler, then utilized SolidWorks to model the upgraded version
